IIT (BHU), Varanasi has started the 2025–26 placement season with an extraordinary achievement, marking one of the most successful opening weeks in its history. The Institute has crossed 1,000 offers within the first few days, setting a new benchmark and reaffirming its position as one of the most trusted global talent destinations.
The season began with remarkable momentum as companies lined up to recruit from one of India’s premier technical institutions. The highest package touched ₹1.67 crore, offered by NK Securities Research, while the average package stands at an impressive ₹29.33 LPA, reflecting the consistent quality and readiness of the students. Day 1 alone witnessed 17 students securing packages above ₹1 crore, highlighting the exceptional talent pool nurtured at IIT (BHU).
Leadership and Teamwork Behind the Success
Director Prof. Amit Patra congratulated the students on their outstanding performance and credited their innovative thinking, analytical excellence, leadership qualities, and strong integrity for earning global recruiters’ trust. He also extended heartfelt appreciation to the Training & Placement (T&P) team and over 150 student volunteers, whose tireless dedication and professionalism made this feat possible.
This collaborative spirit has once again demonstrated IIT (BHU)’s commitment to excellence—not just academically, but in nurturing individuals who are industry-ready and globally competitive.
Top Recruiters and Offer Statistics
The placement drive has attracted around 330 leading national and international companies, interacting with 1,701 students across B.Tech, IDD, M.Tech, and PhD programs. The institute has already recorded:
- 1005 total offers (till 5th December 2025)
- 280 Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs)
- 443 internship offers
Some of the top global recruiters participating this year include Google, Amazon, Meesho, Mastercard, NVIDIA, Databricks, Wells Fargo, Rubrik, McKinsey & Company, Samsung, Microsoft, Nutanix, Squarepoint, Flipkart, and Deutsche Bank.
Additionally, several firms have emerged as the highest contributors in terms of total offers:

As expected, the SDE domain dominated the charts, followed by roles in core engineering, product management, business, machine learning, quant, and analytics, a clear reflection of the industry’s growing demand for versatile, high-impact engineers.
