Scholarships and Financial Aid for Students

अन्नदानं महादानं विद्यादानमतः परम् ।
अन्नेन क्षणिका तृप्तिः यावज्जीवञ्च विद्यया ॥

“The gift of food is a great deed, but the gift of vidyā is paramount.
The satisfaction gained from food is momentary, but that from vidyā lasts a lifetime.”

Testament to this age-old saying is this focus pillar of the Foundation’s efforts. Continuing the pioneering foundational work of Malaviyaji and innumerable other generous donors thereafter, this focus will facilitate the boon of vidyādān in various forms for future generations of IIT (BHU) students.

Upholding its commitment to accessible and affordable education, IIT (BHU) Foundation provides scholarships and financial aid to students regardless of their financial circumstances. After a century of establishment, our alumni and other donors have kept alive the tradition of giving back to their alma mater by contributing to the Institute with their generous donations, gifts, grants, and endowment funds which allows us to maintain our financial aid program.

Thus, ensuring that the dream of studying at one of the most prestigious institutions of India shall not be hindered by financial constraints and alleviating students from any concerns barring the pursuit of knowledge.
